Good News of Salvation

How to be saved

All have sinned:
Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…”

The Gift of God:
Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

John 3:16 For God so loved the World that He gave us His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ) that Whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish (lost) but have eternal life.

The only way to salvation:
John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 8:1 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

You receive the free gift of Salvation by faith alone:
Ephesians 2:8 "For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God's gift—not from works, so that no one can boast."

You declare your faith or belief by confessing:
Romans 10:9 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Romans 10:10 “For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

Romans 10:13 “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Faith is a decision of your heart demonstrated by the actions of your life.

Romans 10:9 says, "If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

If you trust that Jesus died for your sins and to receive new life through Him, pray a prayer similar to this to express your faith in Him:

"Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus died to forgive me of my sins. I now accept your offer of eternal life. Lord Jesus, I invite you to come into my heart to be my Lord and Saviour. Forgive me of my sins, give me the gift of eternal life, give me the power to live for you and to change, in Jesus name, Amen.

Thank You for forgiving me of all my sin. Thank You for my new life. From this day forward, I will choose to follow You, Amen."

What is next after Salvation?
1. Read the Word of God (Bible) daily (Acts 17:11)
2. Find a Church where the Bible is read and taught correctly by rightly dividing the Word of Truth (2 Tim. 2:15) and where you can grow in faith.

2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. The Lord is at Hand!
